Well I caved in and bought Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion. I’ve just gotten started with it, but overall am liking what I’m seeing. People seem to be bitching up a storm about it in some of the forums, (what a surprise) but I have a feeling that those that are disappointed probably let themselves be pulled into the hype machine.
I had no great expectations…I was just looking for a large scale (in world terms) first person hack & slash, and I have no major gripes yet. My first character is a mage ( I enjoy working with spells more than swinging swords most of the time) and am still new to it to comment on any real level.
But it’s fun so far.
