I only have two months left in my sentence lovely stay in Los Angeles.
I have been living away from my family for 2 years and 3 months, and in two months I move back home to Spring Creek NV. While I love my job at Insomniac Games, I am really getting tired of living in the city. I am crazy busy at work, so the next two months will fly by pretty fast.
I am soooo looking forward to getting away from the traffic, the airport noise, the trains, the congestion, the police helicopters, the smog and being shoe-horned in next to my neighbors. My *real* house in Spring Creek is a 4 bedroom on 4 acres, with a two car garage and a full basement, and my mortgage is less than what I’m paying here in Burbank for a crappy 1 bedroom apartment that’s over a garage, and has a dumpster by the front door with lovely odors wafting up.
Get me outta here.

Eric,
Just when I had come up with enough reasons for moving to LA to convince myself to do so… here you are contemplating your escape!
I am returning to LA after 25 years away in order to be closer to family: Rent prices are ridiculous, google maps lack expanses of green, and my friends here in Atlanta are working really hard to understand why I need to do this.
I am so jealous of your 4 acres in Nevada!
Still, I’ve connected with some very cool new people, and the potential to add more friendships to my rich, gypsy life remains an inspiration.
Think good thoughts for me!

Yeah, well it’s always easy to bitch about a place when you’re ready to leave. But if you’re going someplace because you need to, the only thing that makes sense is to look at the silver lining.
There are lots of cool things to do in L.A., it’s just that I’ve lived in big cities all my life and am looking for a change.
I’m sure that a lot of people would be climbing the walls after moving to the country…no nightlife, no conveniences nearby, it depends on your personality and what you’re looking for.
Hope things go well for you here…it’s cool that you’ve found some new people already!
