But if you're going someplace because you need to, the only thing that makes sense is to look at the silver lining. There are lots of cool things to do in L.A., it's just that I've lived in big cities all my life and am looking for a change. I'm sure that a lot of people would be climbing the walls after moving to the country...no nightlife, no conveniences nearby, it depends on your personality and what you're looking for. Hope things go well for you here...it's cool that you've found some new people already! Yeah, well it’s always easy to bitch about a place when you’re ready to leave. I am returning to LA after 25 years away in order to be closer to family: Rent prices are ridiculous, google maps lack expanses of green, and my friends here in Atlanta are working really hard to understand why I need to do this. I am so jealous of your 4 acres in Nevada! Still, I've connected with some very cool new people, and the potential to add more friendships to my rich, gypsy life remains an inspiration.
