Although it’s still in Beta as of this writing, Mudbox is an impressive looking new 3D sculpting program. Similar in some ways to Z-Brush, Mudbox has a more traditional workspace, which should be a welcome thing to those that have had trouble adjusting to Z-Brush’s unusual workflow.
No shipping date has been announced yet, but it sounds like we may see something in the next few months. Check out the gallery of work that’s been created by some of the artists that have had a chance to work with the software, there are some really nice pieces.
