If you’ve been to the Science Fiction section of my gallery, you’ve probably seen some of the futuristic legged vehicles I’ve done, like the MW-77 Assassin and the MW-81 Bulldog:
These vehicle designs may seem completely unrealistic, or look like a technology that’s a long, long way off…but take a look at this video from the BigDog project at Boston Dynamics.
Very cool, and also a little creepy!

Hi, I’m a big fan of some of your art, I REALLY like the MW-77 Assassin! It’s great, and actually looks surprisingly realistic. It looks like it runs on a diesel engine, am I correct? I love diesel technology as well. Amazing work. Quite inspirational for my own art (that doesn’t even compare to yours). Really cool. Thanks.
Oh, and I forgot to check the notify comment box, so I’m submitting another.
Hey John, glad you liked the Assassin. I would think such a critter would be diesel powered, but the realities of the inner workings would be over my head!
Man, I gotta get these text colors fixed.
lol yeah text colors are a little… Hard to read. I’m pretty good with figuring out and quesstimating the inner workings of machines, I’ve been taking an engineering class in high school for a while and I someday hope to design aircraft. But yeah, the exhaust from the assassin looks to be diesel. I’ve always had a passion for this japanese a amine TV series zoids, primarily the New Century Zero series. It’s kinda cheesy but pretty cool. I’m not too good at drawing them, but I try. Here’s a sketch I drew during math class if you want to see. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=184885568191695&set=a.184885441525041.50750.100000107588022
Yeah I lack drawing ability, and I just can’t ever get them to look more like animals, like the form and stuff.
